The Department of Business and Sustainability, University of Southern Denmark, invites applications for one or more positions as full professor in Entrepreneurship and Organization as of September 1, 2024, or as agreed.

Who are your new colleagues?

Your colleagues are experienced academics with expertise in entrepreneurial and organizational issues in start-ups as well as mature firms, organizations and public institutions. Our research focuses on discovering, creating, evaluating, and organizing for new opportunities. We use qualitative and quantitative methods and have a long tradition of strong engagement with external partners in the private and public sector. Moreover, we are active in the public debate on issues related to our research, and the department nurtures the wider impact of the research results.

The Department of Business and Sustainability offers a dynamic and entrepreneurial work environment in which collaboration and team spirit are fundamental parts of the culture. Our department has activities in Kolding, Esbjerg and Sønderborg with approx. 65 employees engaged in research and teaching in the fields of resource-economics, entrepreneurship, marketing, supply chain management, business networks, and organizational studies.

The department is a result of a merger of two former departments and has been in operations since January 1, 2024. We plan to re-configure our research organization by summer 2024, but you can consult the webpage of the current “Entrepreneurship & Organization” research group to get a sense of the work being done. Since the department is so young, you will have a unique possibility to be involved in shaping the direction our department within the framework of the overall strategy – Beyond the Obvious - of the Faculty of Business and Social Science.
